Our Music Assembly
On Monday, St Pius X Students and teachers went to our music assembly. Some parents came to watch our performances. Mrs. Carter was the one that prepared it for all of us.
She did separate classes so Room 7 was first. They played Bunuwaa and Crunchy Crunchy. I like Bunuwaa because it was nice and because it sounded like it was harmonised.
I like Crunchy Crunchy because it just sounded good and it sounded amazing. Then they played a song that only Sia, Sateki, Timu, Zahara, Sione and Sefopalu.
Then after they finished playing their guitar song it was Room 3’s turn. Our class played Clouds. First, it went the bass the people that were on the bass were Ana and Melie on one bass and Sani and Jonah on the other. Then the metal, then the wood.
After we played. When we started playing altogether I felt like it sounded nice when you keep quiet and hear it properly. Then after we came down from the stage some of our class went and played drums.
It was Ana, Pauline, Audrey, Xavier, Jacob, and Taniela. Mrs. Carter had to point to one of them and then when she would point to them they would have to keep playing until she will point to the next person.
After we were done Room 4 was up. They played Twinkle Twinkle it was nice too because Everly went first and then the rest of them went after her. Then the whole school started singing.
After Room 4 was finished Room 5 was next. I don’t know what they played but there was this one part when everyone stopped and then Tupua kept going because that was apart of the music band.
After they played their music band they sang a song called E Te Atua. They sang their song very, beautifully. I liked their performance because I have heard of the song and it sounded like they harmonised their song.
Soon after when they were finished Room 5 and Room 7 did a song together they sand Love, Love, Love. It was really, really, beautiful because when they started playing it on the guitar and ukulele and singing the whole school started singing.
After they finished singing only Sia, Sateki, Timu, Zahara, Sione, Sefopalu played You Are My Sunshine on guitar. I really liked it because it was my grandma's favourite song.
I also liked it because it’s my favourite song too that’s why I really like it. Room 7 was the last performance. And I think that was my favourite. After all, the performances we finished.
