The key event from this news article is about, the junk and all of the waste that was in Space. This event took place in China, America, Russia and space. Krystal - Celebrating the Feast Day of St Pius X

 Today is the Feast Day of St Pius X. Yesterday on Friday, because it is lock down here in New Zealand our school had to have a mass on a meeting. Our school is named after St Pius X. St Pius X was born in 2 June 1835 and passed away on 20th of August 1914. Our school had a short/special mass about St Pius X. Some of the people made poems about him. We said prayers, sang songs and did many other things. Here is our mass slides!

Krystal - Amazing Plants Presentation

Last week on Friday, the whole of Te Wairua Pakiki (TWP) Whanau did a made a presentation about plants. Dr. Jannie Van Hees came to watch us. We were all split up into different groups of trees. Some of us were presenting about the Native Trees in New Zealand, and some of us were presenting about the Pacific Plants. We all could choose what we wanted to do. My group chose to do a movie. First the Native Tree people had to present. In my group it was Sione, Dereon, Arvay & David. Our presentation was about the Rimu Tree. The other native trees were the Kauri Tree, Ti Kouka, Puriri Tree, Kawakawa Tree, Manuka and Kanuka, Totara & Rimu. The Pacific plants that were presented were the Heilala, Ngatae, Hiapo, Kava & Coconut. Dr. Jannie was gifted a Heilala Garland, by Ana in the Heilala group.

My favourite native tree presentation was the Totara Tree, because I liked their rap.

Krystal - Paul's Journey

 Today for Religious Education (RE), I watched a video about Paul's Journey to Jerusalem. Paul walked and travelled across to arrive at Jerusalem. After I watched his journey, I had to make a storyboard of the main things that happened. Here is my Storyboard!

Krystal - La La La Shakira Footsteps #2

On Friday, we TWP 4 & TWP 6 went Footsteps. Footsteps are like dance lessons. Maddie and Kate from last week were our teachers again this week. We learnt a new dance, and the song was La-la-la by Shakira. My favourite dance move was the monkey dance move. We had to be like hulk, then be like a monkey. Here is my activity!

Krystal - The Feast of Transfiguration

 Today St Pius X Catholic School went to mass. The special event was that it was, The Feast of the Figuration. The Feast of Figuration means a change of form. Father Felise was telling us about Jesus and the Disciples, Moses and Elijah and Calvary. Here is my activity!

Today I read an article about how the Samoa Impasse Ends. In the article, it was talking about Naomi Mata'afa and her Party. Naomi's party is called FAST. Naomi Mata'afa is the first and only women to become the prime minister in Samoa. Tuila'epa Sa'ilele Malielegaoi, was the prime minister of Samoa for 22 years. Here is my activity! 

Krystal, Ana & David - Olympic Games Comparrisons

Today for Inquiry, my class and I were split into groups. We had to do Olympic Comparrisons. In my group it was, Ana, David and myself. We had to compare the Olympic Games from the Ancient Games, to the Modern Games, and to the Olympic Games now. We had to compare a lot of things, for example only men could play in the ancient games. Today for Writing, I did a grammar activity. This activity is about verbs. A verb is a word that tells someone or something what they've done. For example "This snail eats other snails and large worms." As usual we had two activities, and in the first activity matching the words was one of the activities.
