My highlights in the new school

Krystal -
My first week in the new school was very amazing because I was really excited before we came to this school. I was very excited because there are two levels and I am on the top with everyone else. Also I like this new school because when we go out of class like out the school there’s like this place that has fake grass so you just sit there to eat and wait for your parents to come take you home. While we are in our leading space I really enjoy it because I can learn new things from the other classes and learn more about them too ,  When our teacher is talking us we can’t hear the other classes and that's the best part of being in this new school.

Kesa -
My first week in the new school was very tiring because I had to climb the stairs a lot but it wasn’t just tiring it was very exciting like it felt like I was getting a new phone. In the learning space there are 3 classes in one space with nothing to have our privacy , at first I doubted it because it’s gonna be so loud to hear our own teachers teach us.
When the teacher was teaching us on Monday it felt like there was a wall because I could hear my teacher very clearly and so did everyone else.
Also when we have morning tea/lunchtime we sit in the benches and we have this other area we can sit while the wind is blowing and it's not too windy but its just right.

Our Music Assembly

Our Music Assembly

On Monday, St Pius X Students and teachers went to our music assembly. Some parents came to watch our performances. Mrs. Carter was the one that prepared it for all of us.

She did separate classes so Room 7 was first. They played Bunuwaa and Crunchy Crunchy. I like Bunuwaa because it was nice and because it sounded like it was harmonised.

I like Crunchy Crunchy because it just sounded good and it sounded amazing. Then they played a song that only Sia, Sateki, Timu, Zahara, Sione and Sefopalu.

Then after they finished playing their guitar song it was Room 3’s turn. Our class played Clouds. First, it went the bass the people that were on the bass were Ana and Melie on one bass and Sani and Jonah on the other. Then the metal, then the wood.

After we played. When we started playing altogether I felt like it sounded nice when you keep quiet and hear it properly. Then after we came down from the stage some of our class went and played drums.

It was Ana, Pauline, Audrey, Xavier, Jacob, and Taniela. Mrs. Carter had to point to one of them and then when she would point to them they would have to keep playing until she will point to the next person.

After we were done Room 4 was up. They played Twinkle Twinkle it was nice too because Everly went first and then the rest of them went after her. Then the whole school started singing.

After Room 4 was finished Room 5 was next. I don’t know what they played but there was this one part when everyone stopped and then Tupua kept going because that was apart of the music band.

After they played their music band they sang a song called E Te Atua. They sang their song very, beautifully. I liked their performance because I have heard of the song and it sounded like they harmonised their song.

Soon after when they were finished Room 5 and Room 7 did a song together they sand Love, Love, Love. It was really, really, beautiful because when they started playing it on the guitar and ukulele and singing the whole school started singing.

After they finished singing only Sia, Sateki, Timu, Zahara, Sione, Sefopalu played You Are My Sunshine on guitar. I really liked it because it was my grandma's favourite song.

I also liked it because it’s my favourite song too that’s why I really like it. Room 7 was the last performance. And I think that was my favourite. After all, the performances we finished.

The Lost Kitten

One cold and rainy day, Polly was walking home from school. Suddenly she heard a loud and mournful cry. “Meow, meow, meow.” She looked under a bush and saw a little, wet, orange kitten.“Who do you belong to?” she asked. She picked up the kitten and snuggled him under her coat. When she got home Polly went straight to her mother. “May I please keep him?” She asked. “Yes,” said her mother, “But you must promise to take care of him and feed him every day” Polly poured some warm milk into a bowl and put a soft pillow in a basket for his bed. “I will name you Fletcher.” She said happily.

My Crazy Holiday

My Holiday

Image result for St Pius X Glen Innes Church

In the holidays, I and my family went to a Holiday Programme that was here at St Pius X Hall. The first thing that we did when we woke up we brushed our teeth then we got changed into other clothes.

Then we were ready and then we got into the car and went to our destination. Then when we got to our destination we went inside. They were breakfast inside the hall but we didn’t eat it because we weren’t hungry.

Soon after when everyone finished their breakfast we played some games the first game that we play was Cat & Mouse. Firstly they put us into teams with team captains. After when they picked the captains we had to come up with a chant and a group name.

Our captain was Motu and the other team's captain was Malia. Our group name was called Alpha Bloods and the other team's group name was Club Royals. Then the people that made this Holiday Programme was the St Pius X Parish Youth.

They said that we had to pick a colour. Then we chose blue but the other team chose blue. Then team captains had to do Rock, Paper, Scissors, Shoot. They said to do it 3 times. Then the team captains played but the other team won.

They had to wear blue for the whole day on Tuesday and we had to wear red for the whole day on Tuesday.

This is the best holiday programme I have ever has been to.
