Krystal - Maths Prototec

Today for our Maths starter, we did Prototec. As usual I did stage 6 and had a 85% score. I needed to work on a bit of my addition to 20. My goal is to learn my addition to 20. Here is my activity!

Today for Inquiry, we TWP 4 (Te Wairua Pakiki 4) read an article about Worlds Ocean Day. Worlds Ocean Day is about the sea and how people should treat it. My class and I did a little activity on Worlds Ocean Day. We did a google drawing with key words and key pictures. Krystal - Maths Prototec

 Today for our Maths starter, we did Prototec that was timed. My score was 80%. I had a lot wrong, and I need to improve on that. Here is my activity!

Krystal - Prototec Timed

Today for my Maths starter, I did Prototec that was timed. I had three wrong and the rest are right. I had to do subtraction to 20, times tables, division, addition to 20 and 1000. My goal for next week is to take my time and work it out on a paper. I had to compare this weeks activity with Prototec with what I did last week Monday on Prototec. Here is my activity!

Krystal - Coconut Tree Juice/Water

Learn: You are reading for information. You are working out unknown vocabulary using meaning in context. Today I did a little research about coconuts. We (our groups) had to pick a part of the coconut, like for example the shell, juice, husk anything. We chose the juice. The juice is kind of like the water inside of the coconut. Krystal - Tūpou Māori

Today for Maori, we were learning about Tūpou Māori. I learned a Māori pronoun, and that is rāua. Rāua is when two people are talking about another two people. The easy part was picking the animals. The hard part was remembering the Māori pronouns. Here is my activity!

  

Krystal - Maths Number Game

Today my maths group and another maths group tried to figure out a maths game. After we figure out the numbers and the games and all of the other stuff, we had to make a game as well. Krystal - The Sacred Heart of Jesus Mass

 On Friday earlier this we, St Pius X School had a mass for the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The Sacred Heart of Jesus is important because, it teaches us to love one another. Krystal - My Digital Footprint

Today I have done another Cybersmart Challenge. This challenge is about what sites I have been on in the last 24 hours. I have been on a lot of sites so I did the first sites at the top of my history. I used footprints to show what I have been on and to do it in order. Here is my activity!

Krystal - Swimming Recount

For the past week and a half we (whole school) has had swimming lessons about safety. On the first day I was kind of comfortable with swimming. After the first day I couldn’t go anymore. From my perspective I’ve seen, the instructors are very good with making us concentrate. They are also helpful if we don’t know how to do this or that. On my first lesson we did kicking and some floating. Then on the second lesson they had to put their faces underwater and try and swim. Later on that week we kept practicing those type of things. Yesterday the girls said "it was fun, because they could jump in the water in any form." Special thanks to the Swim Magic instructors and the helpers as well. Here is a picture!
