This week is about Soul Friends. Soul Friends are like people who are they when they are in need. Like in school, when your soul friend is crying you can ask what happened and try to make them happy. Soul Friends in our school have been going on for around 10 years. My soul friends are Athena and Ava. One thing I know about Athena is that she is Samoan. One thing I know about Ava is she likes to eat McDonald's. Our school had a soul friends shared lunch after mass. My soul friend Athena made this for me.

I am a year 6 learner in the Te Wairua Pakiki 4 Learning Space at St. Pius X Catholic School in Auckland, New Zealand. My teachers are Ms Nees-Kairua and Mrs Tui.

Krystal - DLO Ash Wednesday, St Patrick's & Soul Friends
Today for Saint Pius X School (SPX) mass. We celebrated St Patrick's, Ash Wednesday and Soul Friends in the church. Because this is the fourth week of lent we honour St Patrick's, Soul Friends and Ash Wednesday. The Holy Faith Sisters are the ones that started our school, over more than sixty years ago from Ireland. They made up this beautiful idea to make up something called "Soul Friends". Soul Friends are like people who are they when they are in need. We Te Wairua Pakiki 4 (TWP4) are partnered up with Takiritia 1. My soul friends are Ava and Athena. St Patrick is a patron saint, because of the Irish people and The Holy Faith Sisters. Here is my activity!
